RAVENNA, Ohio—Smithers Rapra has named Ron Arthur general manager for its Tire and Wheel Test Laboratory in Ravenna.
Arthur previously held engineering and technology leadership roles with Patch Rubber, Veyance Technologies and Cooper Tire. Smithers said he brings more than 28 years of experience in tire research and design.
“Ron's expertise and leadership in the rubber and tire industries, both in the U.S. and China, are a significant benefit to Smithers Rapra and our customers,” Jesse Roeck, vice president and general manager of Smithers Rapra, said in a statement. “As the industry evolves, Ron will continue to evaluate our current and future service offerings to ensure we are meeting our clients' requirements.”
Smithers Rapra provides rubber, plastics and composites testing, and has served both the rubber and plastics industries for more than 90 years. It serves the tire, automotive, polymer products, oil and gas, medical device, pharmaceutical, transport, packaging, industrial, and consumer products industries.
