CORONA, Calif.—Engel North America will hold a technology symposium at its technical center in Corona on Jan. 14.
During the morning part of the session, Engel specialists and industry experts will make technical presentations on the latest innovations in equipment, materials, automation and decorative and functional surface technologies. Among those speaking are Gordon Boettcher of Kurz Transfer Products L.P.; A. Wayne Gibson of Pro Systems, L.L.C.; and James DiVita of Celanese.
Engel will showcase several molding systems, demonstrating some of the most recent developments in equipment and technologies in injection molding, during the afternoon session.
Networking opportunities also will be available during the sessions.
Engel, a member of the Engel Group, has upgraded the Engel e-motion TL series to include a 55-ton version that will make its North American debut at the symposium. The e-motion 55 TL US features a one-piece machine frame that makes the injection molding machine lighter and more compact than other comparable types of all-electric machines, Engel said.
During the symposium, the tie-bar-less, all-electric Engel e-motion 170/55 TL US will run a socket and connector mold supplied by J.W. Speaker Corp., while an Engel e-mac 170/55 LSR US machine will be running an electronic seal, with tool and dosing system to demonstrate the sealing properties of liquid silicone rubber for delicate electronics.
Additional injection molding systems also will be running during the event.
