OSAKA, Japan—Toyo Tire & Rubber Ltd. will celebrate its 70th anniversary on Aug. 1 and has designed a 70th anniversary logo for the occasion.
Toyo said the “7” in its new logo represents an arrow “stretching toward rapid future growth,” while the “0” symbolizes teamwork. The company plans to use the logo in its calendars, advertising materials and in various other applications.
The company did not elaborate at this time on what sort of celebrations it's planning for Aug. 1.
In conjunction with its 70th anniversary, the tire maker said it expects to complete the move to its new headquarters in Itami City, Japan, in August. Toyo said the move will reinforce the growth of its businesses globally by centralizing its management functions and boosting internal mobility.
