FORT MILL, S.C.—Continental Tire the Americas has signed a multi-year sponsorship deal to be the official partner of basketball for 20-plus universities in six high-profile college conferences.
The deal, which includes courtside LED signage at each home game, in-stadium activation and a targeted TV package for 381 games per season, is geared to build relationships with the millions of “fiercely loyal, and passionate, college basketball fans across the country,” said Travis Roffler, director of marketing for Continental Tire.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
The partnership includes:
• 13 International Management Group property schools—University of Arizona, University of Connecticut, Duke University, University of Florida, Georgia Institute of Technology, University of Kansas, University of Michigan, University of Nebraska, University of Oregon, University of South Carolina, St. John's University, Syracuse University and the University of Texas; and
• 8 Learfield Sports property schools—University of Louisville, University of Missouri, University of North Carolina, University of Oklahoma, University of Kentucky, Seton Hall University, University of Wisconsin and the Big Ten Conference Championship.
The deal is in addition to Continental Tire's existing partnerships with Duke University and the University of Southern California, which include Continental Tire as the official tire partner of each athletic department.
