SACRAMENTO—The California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) is offering a total of $823,747 in grant money to California local governments, school districts and other potential applicants in the 2014-15 Tire-Derived Product (TDP) Grant Program.
The TDP Grant Program, according to the CalRecycle website, is designed to promote markets for recycled-content products derived from waste tires generated in California.
Under the program guidelines, applicants must use a minimum of 2,500 California-generated passenger tire equivalents. Applicants may also combine two or more projects to reach the 2,500-PTE minimum, CalRecycle said. The maximum grant allowed in the program is $150,000 per project.
Applications for TDP grants are due by Dec. 4. For application forms or more information, visit this website.
