WAKEFIELD, Mass.—Yogesh Mahansaria, founder and CEO of Alliance Tire Group, was selected as NextGen Entrepreneur of the Year during the 2014 Forbes India Leadership Awards ceremony, Oct. 7, in Mumbai, India.
The NextGen Entrepreneur award is given annually to an entrepreneur who has displayed the dynamism to revitalize an existing enterprise, and in the process, redefined the rules of business and prepared the enterprise for a whole new vector of growth, according to the publication.
Mahansaria was selected from a field of five finalists identified by the Forbes India editorial staff.
Forbes India praised Mahansaria for harnessing the competitive advantage of Indian and Israeli assets, and scaling up a niche, B2B business globally by paying close attention to end users across geographies.
Mahansaria has led ATG to triple its annual sales since the group's founding in 2007. ATG generated an estimated $575 million in sales for 2013, making it the 44th largest tire maker globally, according to the most recent Tire Business rankings.
