MILAN—Italian tire company Pirelli released its nine-month report showing a healthy growth in profit and income during the third quarter of 2014.
Net profit increased 16.2 percent to about $373.4 million compared to the nine-month period in 2013. Revenues for the first nine months declined slightly, by 1.3 percent to about $5.63 billion.
Earnings (EBIT) through Sept. 30 were up 8.9 percent to about $783.5 million from about $719.5 million, an 8.9 percent increase.
Pirelli's tire activities EBIT increased by 7.4 percent to about $796.7 million, up from $742 million in 2013.
