MONCKS CORNER, S.C.—Intertex World Resources Inc. is investing $3.2 million to establish a facility in Berkeley County, S.C.
Intertex Transloading Services Inc. will service the South Carolina tire manufacturing industry at its 100,000-sq.-ft. facility, located in Moncks Corner, specializing in the transloading of carbon black. The investment is projected to create 10 jobs in the area.
Gary Horning, director of carbon black services at Intertex, said the firm reviewed dozens of facilities in the Charleston, S.C., and Savannah, Ga., regions. The site in Moncks Corner gives the firm the ability to expand should it choose to in the future.
“This exciting new opportunity will allow Intertex World Resources to expand our reach in this resurging industry, providing us with the ability to continue to serve our long-standing clients while expanding our reach and designing new services from the ground up,” Stan Rybalov, Intertex World Resources president, said in a statement.
