PAWCATUCK, Conn.—Bob Preston is transitioning from CEO of Davis-Standard L.L.C. to vice chairman of the firm's board of directors, effective Nov. 18.
Preston is becoming the chairman and CEO of a materials company in the Southwest U.S., Davis-Standard said. The firm did not identify the company.
Davis-Standard said a search for a new CEO is underway. Davis-Standard's daily operations will be managed by an office of the president, consisting of Chief Financial Officer Mike Pisch; Todd Pearson, vice president of global operations; and Jim Murphy, vice president of global sales and marketing.
Davis-Standard designs, develops and distributes extrusion and converting technology, encompassing more than 10 product lines to support manufacturing applications worldwide. It serves the agriculture, automotive, construction, health care, energy, electronics, food and beverage packaging, and retail industries.
The firm said it employs 850 and is headquartered in Pawcatuck with manufacturing and technical facilities in the U.S. Davis-Standard also operates subsidiaries with facilities in China, Germany and England.
