MALVERN, Pa.—Bob Ohm of Lion Copolymer will be among the presenters at the MidAtlantic Rubber and Plastics Group fall technical meeting.
The meeting will be held Nov. 20 at Penn State Great Valley Conference Building Auditorium CCB. The program will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
Ohm will present an introduction to rubber at 8:45 p.m.
Other presenters include William Pavlek of Arkema, who will discuss peroxide curing of elastomers; Brian Palecek of Trostel, who will talk about custom mixing of rubber; Marc Vonderlage of Desma, tentatively scheduled to discuss precision mold making; Edmee Files, a consultant who will talk about educational and work force challenges in the oilfield sector; Phil Schild of Solvay, who will discuss automotive rubber applications; and Peter Gabriele of Secant Medical, who will explore innovative uses of elastomers for medical applications.
Current and future uses of rubber in wire and cable also is scheduled as a session.
