OXFORD, N.C.—Bridgestone Bandag L.L.C. has pledged a charitable donation of $30,000 to the Granville Health System Foundation in Oxford, where Bridgestone Bandag has a tread rubber and retread materials plant.
“This donation will afford the system to become an exceptional health service provider for our Oxford community,” Oxford Plant Manager Mark S. Averette said.
The GHS Foundation supports the Oxford community as a charitable resource for Granville Health System, Bridgestone Bandag said, providing quality health care to all citizens of the community. The foundation builds support for GHS and provides financial resources to purchase new equipment, develop new services, maintain and improve facilities and recruit new health professionals to Granville County.
Bridgestone Bandag employs more than 200 at the Oxford plant, which has been in operation since 1970.
