PLYMOUTH, Mich.—Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies GmbH & Co. has received the 2014 TOP Innovation Award from the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung Institute in Berlin.
“The 2014 TOP Innovation Award from the F.A.Z. Institute shows that we are being recognized for our continuous improvement process and our innovation culture,” Chief Technology Officer Arman Barimani said.
This is the third award the firm has earned in the past few moths. Earlier, it was notified that its material collaboration with Solvay Specialty Plastics was named a finalist in the 2014 Society of Plastics Engineers Automotive Division innovation Awards for its HLHS GAP thrust bearing.
The firm's Fluid Power Automotive Lead Center in Findlay, Ohio, has been chosen as a finalist in the 2014 IndustryWeek Best Plants competition.
TOP is the F.A.Z. Institute's technology-oriented visit and innovation program. Barimani accepted the award during a ceremony in Berlin. Freudenberg said companies nominated for the award must have a proven track record of investment in innovation and financial stability for at least for consecutive years.
