ROMULUS, Mich.—APS Elastomers L.L.C. has selected Plastics Plus Inc. as an official distributor of its products to better service the thermoplastic elastomer market in North America.
An APS spokesperson said Plastics Plus will be distributing APS' Viprene brand of thermoplastic vulcanizates and Zythane brand of thermoplastic polyurethanes.
“Joining forces with Plastics Plus allows us to provide an in-depth source for TPE material and expertise,” APS Elastomers Owner Stephane Morin said in a statement.
“Our combined experience enables us to better service the TPE market by continuing to expand product offerings and develop new technologies, while maintaining a personal, hands-on approach.”
APS said both companies are privately-held materials solution providers to the plastics industry, custom compounding and distribute thermoplastic elastomers produced by domestic and international companies.
“Our mutual emphasis on quality, reliability, and just in time delivery, along with a respect for our customers' desire to manage costs; renders APS Elastomers an ideal partner,” Greg Boston, commercial development manager of Plastics Plus, said in a statement.
Headquartered in Romulus, APS Elastomers produces TPEs, TPUs, TPVs and provides other elastomer resources such as product development and support to designers, marketers and processors. The firm said it provides custom compounding and full laboratory services.
According to APS, Plastics Plus is a privately-held material solutions distributor to the North American plastics industry, offering resins, compounds, colorants and additives, and custom color-blended products.
