JIANGXI, China—Taiwan's Yung Liien Enterprise is planning to break ground on its 10kT/year project for silicone rubber products at Yunshan Industrial Park in Yongxiu county, Jiujiang, Jiangxi province.
The project has about an $82.5 million investment with a total area of about 164,000 square feet. It is expected to bring in an annual production value of about $99 million when in operation.
Yung Liien is a manufacturer of rubber pet toys, rubber sports equipment and silicone rubber kitchen wares headquartered in New Taipei, Taiwan.
The company has another mainland plant in Guangzhou, Guangdong province with a 3.5kT/year capacity, according to Li Hanjun, vice president of Yung Liien.
“We chose the site in Jiangxi because it's near one of our raw material suppliers,” said Li. “The contract was signed in July but we are still waiting for the local government to make the land ready for construction.
Li said the firm hopes the facilities can become operational in August or September 2015.
