FULLERTON, Calif.—Yokohama Tire Corp. will relocate its corporate headquarters from Fullerton to nearby Santa Ana, Calif., in November, in order to accommodate business growth.
Yokohama Tire said it signed a 10-year lease for a new 57,000-sq.-ft. office, located at 1 MacArthur Place in Santa Ana, near the John Wayne Airport. The tire maker will occupy two-and-a-half floors at the high-tech office complex.
Yokohama has been at its Fullerton location for 28 years.
“Unlike other companies that moved out of the state, we wanted to stay in California,” said Tom Masuguchi, YTC's chief strategy officer. “We looked at several buildings in multiple cities and considered many factors ... The Santa Ana location provided the best match for all our requirements now and in the future as we expand our business even further.”
The announcement comes two months after Yokohama reported its Western Region Distribution Center would be moving from a 380,000-sq.-ft. warehouse in Fullerton to a newly constructed 658,000-sq.-ft. facility in Chino, Calif., about 22 miles away.
