FRANKLIN, Tenn.—Carlisle Transportation Products L.L.C. recently introduced power wedge cog belts made from EPDM to add to the company's heavy duty industrial V-belt offerings.
EPDM has outstanding properties, the firm said, adding that it's durable, static conductive and has a broad operating temperature range. It also resists hardening and glazing, and is oil and heat resistant, Carlisle said.
It said that the power wedge cog belts run smoother and are specially designed for increased performance.
The belt sidewalls reduce vibration for extended component life, the company said, and a new cog profile reduces bending stress for improved flexibility and optimum performance on small pulleys.
