AKRON—The move of Steelastic Co. L.L.C. and RMS Equipment L.L.C to a new facility should be complete by January, according to a company news release.
Steelastic and RMS, manufacturers of automated machinery systems for the global tire industry, will move into a 100,000-sq.-ft. facility, currently under construction at One Vision Lane in Akron.
The building will feature a state-of-the-art demonstration lab and research and development space, as well as 15,000 square feet of office space.
With the firms under one roof, the companies will be able to share accounting, engineering, purchasing and marketing resources.
“We are fortunate to be able to bring our resources together to provide our customers with the top level services they have come to expect from Steelastic/RMS,” said Armand Massary, president of Steelastic/RMS. “The new building will allow us the space to continue to grow the businesses while staying in the local community.”
Steelastic and RMS, together with Bartell Machinery Systems are members of the Heico Tire & Rubber Group.
