The initial work on the subject, published in RPN in 2007, reported a wide range of rates of differential wear over belt separation. This paper further refines and quantifies the tread wear projections. The model developed is simpler and closer to the reality of the field. It allows the quantification of the range of mileage deducted from the measurement of differential wear. It also makes the results easier to explain and illustrate.
