ST. LOUIS, Mo.—Accella Performance Materials Inc. has purchased Zeus Tyrefill Systems GmbH to expand the firm's tire fill operation globally.
Zeus is a leading manufacturer of tire fill systems and flatproofing products for heavy duty industrial and off-the-road vehicles in Europe, South Africa and Australia. Based in Dortmund, Germany, the company has extensive polyurethane manufacturing capabilities, Accella said.
It will become a subsidiary of Accella, a St. Louis-headquartered manufacturer of custom polyurethane products, specialty vinyl plastisols and recycled rubber products. Its tire fill business now consists of subsidiaries Arnco, Pathway Performance Polymers and Zeus.
Financial details were not released.
Accella, which is part of private equity firm Arsenal Capital Partners' group of companies, has seen its revenues rise to over $300 million in the last two years, and “Zeus helps to strengthen the Accella polyurethanes platform,” according to John Televantos, a partner at Arsenal Capital.
