TRENCIN, Slovakia—Mesnac Co. Ltd.'s European Research and Technical Center will expand its operations in Slovakia with the construction of a new production facility and additional research facilities.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2015.
The new center will occupy about 32,000 square feet and will provide research and development, manufacturing and assembly. The facility will serve as the focal point for service to Mesnac's European customers.
“This new structure will provide ideal conditions for the fulfillment of our parent company research and development projects, together with excellent facilities for manufacturing our premium tire building machines and other equipment to meet the ever increasing technical requirements of our global tire customers based in Europe,” said Karol Vanko, general director of MERTC, in a statement.
The focus of the expansion will be on tire building machines, Mesnac said. MERTC also will have the capability to assemble hydraulic curing presses and other tire production equipment in the Mesnac product range.
Mesnac said its group of companies produces more than 300 tire building machines per year and is one of the world's largest producers of tire and rubber manufacturing equipment.
