Oxea GmbH introduced a stabilized TOTM (trioctyl trimellitate or tri-2-ethylhexyl trimellitate) under the brand name Oxsoft TOTM ST into its range of phthalate-free plasticizers.

The Oxsoft TOTM ST product is launched to address specific performance requirements in application areas where extreme low volatility is required, Oxea said.

Oxsoft TOTM ST is stabilized with Lowinox CA22, a high performance specialty antioxidant from Addivant's specialty antioxidant portfolio. Compared to conventional antioxidants used in the plasticizer industry, Oxea said Lowinox CA22 enables more efficient stabilization, provides superior color stability and has better compatibility with the PVC compound.

With the addition of the stabilizer, Oxsoft TOTM ST provides a more robust extraction resistance, sustains color quality throughout a longer lifecycle, and provides additional thermal stability during the manufacturing process, the company said. The suggested application areas for Oxsoft TOTM ST are cables, wires and coated fabrics manufacturing. Oxsoft TOTM ST is available in commercial quantities and shipping to customers has begun.

More information about Oxsoft TOTM ST is available at www.phthalate-free-plasticizers.com.

Best Process Solutions Inc. rolled out bulk bag dischargers that provide dust-free product discharge and are expandable and flexible to meet discharging and bulk bag requirements.

They are available in three models: BPS's Model MTD-2.5K for unloading large bulk bags up to 2,500 lb. capacity; Model MTD-4K for very large bulk bags up to 4,000-pound capacity; and heavy-duty Model BBD-4K discharger with vibratory motor agitation to assist in unloading hard-to-remove products.

Creative Materials Inc. has introduced 102-32D to its family of conductive silicone adhesives.

The 102-32D offers some enhanced features over Creative Materials' standard 102-32, which the company said is one of its most versatile and widely used products. Some innovative features of 102-32D are improved working life and dispensing characteristics. 102-32D was designed for high throughput and automated dispensing processes, allowing for enhanced features such as no tailing or stringing and low bleeding, Creative Materials said.

Features of 102-32D include: room temperature cure and snap cure; high conductivity (0.0001 Ω-cm); easy-to-dispense; high elasticity; resistance to high temperatures; excellent resistance to thermal cycling; low bleeding; non-tailing; low modulus; and low stress, the company claimed.

Creative Materials' standard and custom formulations of silicone adhesives feature flexibility, heat resistance and moisture resistance, the company said. Typical applications for its silicone adhesives include manufacturing and assembly of products and components in consumer, medical, aerospace and industrial applications.
