MOSCOW—Rubex Group and Nilos' joint venture in conveyor belts was strengthened with the launch of training workshops.
The Russo-German JV now offers workshops in theory and practice for the repairing of conveyor belts. The seminars are held for staff of Russian enterprises in mining, coal and metallurgical industries.
This latest offering is on the back of the JV formation in March 2014. Both firms decided to work together in the field of splicing and service of conveyor belts. They are represented under the Rubex-Nilos brand in all Russian territories.
Rubex said its services include: delivery; splicing and repairing; maintenance; maintenance staff training; installation of treatment systems; damage evaluation; and service for rollers and transmission shafts.
The group employs 3,300 people. In 2013 its revenue was $161 million, while EBITDA was $18 million.
In Russia, the company said it has 35 percent of the conveyor belts market, 22 percent of the industrial hose market, and 8 percent of the high pressure hose market.
