SADSKA, Czech Republic—Parker Hannifin Corp. has extended the capabilities of a recently opened clean room cell at its Czech location in Sadska to meet demands of the medical and pharmaceutical industries.
The Parker-Pradifa operation is focused on manufacturing customized elastomer and plastics components developed at the group's German locations in Pleidelsheim and Bietigheim.
The GMP clean room spans about 1,400 square feet and consists of several ISO7 to ISO9 clean rooms, employing injection molding technology to process materials including silicones, thermoplastic elastomers and other elastomers. Two-component solutions, such as silicone/plastic or TPE/plastic are available in clean room Class 8.
A new micro-injection molding machine in clean room Class 7 is available for manufacturing high-precision, particle-free molded parts and seals as well as processing high-transparency liquid silicones, the company also said.
For single-use systems, advanced over-molding technology is available as an alternative to conventional cable ties, according to the company.
This technology combines silicone and TPE tubes with other plastics components, such as aseptic connectors, filters or transport containers, or various tubes with each other.
