HOSUR, India—Michigan Manufacturing International has announced both the opening of a new manufacturing plant in Hosur and the appointment of two new executives.
The new MMI executives are Prabhu Rajendran, worldwide quality control manager, and Jarbo Lu, supply manager for China's Shandong province.
MMI's new Hosur facility is primarily an assembly plant that receives inputs from a highly qualified local supply base, the company said. About 65 percent of MMI's sales in India will come from Hosur, it said.
Founded in 1991, MMI is a Stevensville, Md.-based supplier of manufactured-to-print assemblies to original equipment manufacturers in a wide variety of industries. The products it supplies include assemblies, castings, stampings, machine parts, bushings, plastics, bearings and gears.
