MUNICH—The Wacker Group, an international specialty chemical producer, is expanding its partnerships with Dutch chemical distributor IMCD and the German NRC Group for distribution of Wacker's HDK pyrogenic silica products in Germany.
IMCD Germany and NRC's Nordmann, Rassmann GmbH will replace Brenntag Germany as Wacker's German pyrogenic silica distributor, Wacker said.
IMCD and Nordmann, Rassmann have existing relationships with Wacker, the chemical manufacturer said.
IMCD already distributes specialty chemicals for Wacker in several market segments in Western and Eastern Europe, South Africa, India, Australia and New Zealand. Nordmann, Rassmann already distributes HDK silicone products, including pyrogenic silica, for the coatings market in Germany.
Starting Aug. 1, IMCD will handle Wacker's pyrogenic silica in Germany for personal care, nutrition, plastics, sealants, adhesives and silicone elastomer applications, according to Wacker. On the same date, Nordmann, Rassmann will add Wacker's pharmaceutical market business to its pyrogenic silica distribution business, Wacker said.
Founded in 1914, the Wacker Group operates more than 25 production sites worldwide, supplying more than 3,500 products to more than 3,500 customers in more than 100 countries.
