AKRON—The ACS Rubber Division is accepting nominations for its 2015 Science and Technology Awards. Nominations must be received by July 15.
The awards include the Charles Goodyear Medal, sponsored by the Rubber Division; the Sparks-Thomas Award, sponsored by ExxonMobil Chemical Co.; The Melvin Mooney Distinguished Technology Award, sponsored by Lion Copolymer Ltd.; the George Stafford Whitby Award for Distinguished Teaching and Research, sponsored by Cabot Corp.; the Fernley H. Banbury Award, sponsored by the Farrel Co.; and the Chemistry of Thermoplastic Elastomers Award, sponsored by the Ralph S. Graff Foundation.
These awards recognize achievements of rubber scientists, engineers, chemists and technologists worldwide.
The Rubber Division's Science and Technology Awards Committee will determine the finalists, with approval by the Executive Committee at the 2014 fall meeting in Nashville, Tenn. The awards will be presented during the 187th Technical Meeting and Educational Symposium, to be held April 27-30, 2015 in Greenville, S.C.
