INSTANBUL—Kordsa Global reported revenues of $200 million and net income of about $16.2 million for the first quarter of 2014.
The firm said sales increased 24 percent while net profit increased 209 percent over the same period in 2013.
CEO Cenk Alper said operational efficiencies, discipline in business process and commercial excellence were key factors in the company's success in the first quarter.
The executive set the goal of increasing Kordsa's revenues by 20 percent for the year compared to full-year 2013. The firm reported sales of about $725.8 million in 2013.
Kordsa Global serves the rubber, composite and construction markets by providing reinforcing products. Headquartered in Istanbul, it operates nine businesses in nine countries distributed over five continents with a worldwide workforce of about 4,000.
