WASHINGTON—Gary Champlin, general manager of Champlin Tire Recycling Inc. in Concordia, Kan., has been elected to a two-year term as secretary-treasurer of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries.
A family-owned business, Champlin Tire processes more than 4 million tires annually in a six-state region, ISRI said. Gary Champlin has been general manager of Champlin Tire since 1992, and he previously served as an ISRI director-at-large, the institute said.
Doug Kramer, of Kramer Metals Inc. in Los Angeles, Calif., is ISRI's new chair, ISRI said. Other new officers include Chair-Elect Mark Lewin, of Utah Metal Works Inc., Salt Lake City, Utah, and Vice Chair Brian Shine, of Manitoba Corp., Lancaster, N.Y.
ISRI's new directors-at-large are Josh Joseph, Muskingum Iron & Metal Co., Zanesville, Ohio; Tom Knippel, SA Recycling Corp., Orange, Calif.; and Eva Shine, Shine Bros. Corp., Spencer, Iowa. Tim Shuttleworth of Eriez Manufacturing Co., Erie, Pa., is the new associate director.
