LAS VEGAS—Tommy Daughtrey, president of the Duncan, Okla.-based tire recycling firm Four D Corp., is this year's winner of the Tire Processor Chapter's Service to Industry Award from the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries.
Daughtrey received the award during a Tire Processor Chapter meeting at the ISRI annual meeting in Las Vegas, ISRI said. He was honored for his record of service to ISRI and its Tire Processing Chapter, including two terms as the chapter's treasurer, his current service as chair of the Tire & Rubber Division, and his current position on ISRI's Government Affairs and Finance Committee.
Daughtrey entered his family's business, Western Welding Supply, in 1968 after graduating from the University of Oklahoma, according to ISRI. He, his brother Max and father Everett founded Four D in 1994, after selling Western Welding Supply to Airgas, the institute said.
