UTRECHT, Netherlands—Mediq B.V. has appointed former Goodyear executive Arthur de Bok as its CEO and chairman of the management board as of April 1.
Mediq provides pharmaceuticals, medical devices and related care services worldwide.
De Bok resigned from Goodyear effective March 15 after being reassigned into a new role with the Akron-based tire maker. He was the president of Goodyear's Europe, Middle East and Africa business unit from February 2008 until Dec. 1, when the firm reassigned him to senior vice president of sales and marketing excellence.
Before serving as president of EMEA, de Bok was president of the company's European Union business. He joined Goodyear in 2002.
“The Mediq supervisory board and management team are enthusiastic about Arthur de Bok taking up this position,” said Rob ter Haar, chairman of the supervisory board. “The health care field is continually developing, and Mediq is a key international player in it. We are convinced that Arthur, with his extensive experience, is the right person to help Mediq respond to this development and extend Mediq's lead in this field.
