COLOGNE, Germany—Just days after Matthias Zachert took over as CEO, Lanxess A.G. made a number of leadership changes.

Jorge Nogueria will be responsible for the performance butadiene rubbers business unit based in Fribourg, Switzerland on May 1. He currently is head of the functional chemicals business unit.

Nogueria replaces Joachim Grub, who will take a one-year sabbatical.

Anno Borkowsky temporarily will take over the functional chemicals business unit in addition to his responsibilities in heading Rhein Chemie.

Lanxess also named Par Singh the leader of the innovation and technology group function on May 1. He takes over for Paul Wagner, who will retire.

Singh is the country representative of Lanxess in Singapore. Fiona Wu will assume that responsibility from Singh on May 1. Wu will also retain her current responsibilities in human resources for the butyl rubber business unit.

The firm appointed Jacques Perez as country representative of Lanxess in India on May 1. He replaces Joerg Strassburger, who Lanxess said will leave the company on April 30 to “pursue new opportunities.” Strassburger held the position since 2005.

Lanxess employs approximately 17,300 in 31 countries with 52 production sites worldwide. It primarily develops, manufactures and markets plastics, rubber, intermediates and specialty chemicals. The firm reported sales of about $11.3 billion in 2013.
