MARYVILLE, Mo.—The auction of Carbolytic Materials Co. L.L.C.'s 24,260 sq.-ft. manufacturing and warehouse facility in Maryville has been rescheduled for April 30.
Mass Companies Inc.—the firm coordinating the auction—said the delay allows buyers more opportunity to explore the purchase of the equipment and real estate.
Prospective buyers can inspect the property by private appointment on April 15 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; April 29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and April 30 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Carbolytic Materials Co. opened the plant in 2009 and developed ApexCM from scrap tires, a material designed to replace carbon black for use in hoses, gaskets, belting, roofing materials, plastic piping among other products.
The firm said each ton of ApexCM represents 380 recycled tires. It received $12.4 million in state and federal funding for the project and in 2009 hired nearly 30 employees.
