MISSISSAUGA, Ontario—The Board of Directors of the Rubber Association of Canada plans to meet early this month to discuss changing the RAC's name, according to the association's February e-Newsletter.
The proposed name change is part of the RAC's re-branding effort to reflect the association's goals and membership better, the e-Newsletter said.
A recent member survey, the association said, generally showed agreement among RAC members that including the word "tire" in the association's name more accurately would reflect the scope of the association.
The Board of Directors will have the final decision on whether the RAC's name should be changed, the e-Newsletter said. The association's re-branding efforts will be unveiled at its annual general meeting in June, it said.
