LAKE FOREST, Ill.—Tenneco Inc. supplied components for two award-winning General Motors Corp. vehicles: the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500.
The Stingray won the North American Car of the Year, and the Silverado won North American Truck/Utility of the Year at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
The firm supplies ride performance technologies, including monotube shock modules and rear shocks, for the Silverado. It also supplies elastomer products, including the hydroelastic body mount, front suspension bushings, spring bushings and front tap mounts.
Tenneco supplies emission control components, including electrical valves for exhaust system sound tuning, for the Stingray.
