STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich.—Chrysler Group L.L.C. has extended Nexen Tire Corp.'s original equipment supply agreement for the Chrysler 200 to the 2015 model, continuing a contract that began with the 2014 Chrysler 200 model.
The 2015 model year vehicle once again will be fitted with Nexen's CP671 high-performance, all-season tire. Three fitment sizes will be available, including 215/55R17, 235/45R18 and 235/40R19.
The CP671 is built with four circumferential grooves in the tread for anti-hydroplaning performance. Other features of the tire help to suppress noise and improve comfort, Nexen said.
Chrysler and Nexen announced the 2014 contract, which covered the Dodge Avenger as well, last October. In North America, Nexen also supplies the U.S. assembly plant of South Korea's Hyundai Motor Co.
