SACRAMENTO—"California's Tire Program: Rolling Into the Future" is the title of the 2014 Tire Conference to be hosted by the California Department of Resources Recovery and Recycling (CalRecycle) April 23-24.
Scheduled for the Capitol Plaza Holiday Inn in Sacramento, the conference is designed for waste tire processors, manufacturers of tire-derived products and anyone else interested in scrap tire recycling in California, CalRecycle said.
Topics to be discussed at the two-day meeting include an update on California's scrap tire markets and waste tire law enforcement; CalRecycle's grant programs for the in-state use of tire-derived products including rubberized asphalt and tire-derived aggregate; developing new tire-derived products; and an update on synthetic turf.
Registration fees are $125 for both days of the conference, or $85 for one day. To register, call 916-278-4433 or 800-858-7743, or go to the online reservation form here. April 10 is the deadline to register.
