TOKYO—Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd. will participate in Japan's annual celebration of the custom car, the Tokyo Auto Salon 2014 with NAPAC.
The event will be held Jan. 10-12 at Makuhari Messe in Tokyo. Along with Yokohama's aluminum wheels, the company said its exhibit will showcase its high-performance flagship Advan-brand tires, "with a special focus on further penetrating the dress-up user market and enhancing the brand's appeal to younger drivers."
Among tires highlighted at the booth will be what the tire maker called several core products in the Advan line, including the Advan Sport V105, which is targeted at high-power premium cars and has been selected as original equipment on several of the world's leading high-performance cars, the firm said. The street sports tire Advan Neova AD08R and premium comfort tire Advan dB also will be on display.
The company also will feature at its booth demo cars equipped with Yokohama tires, including the GT500 class D'station Advan GT-R race car that competed in the 2013 SUPER GT series on Advan racing tires.
At a concierge counter, booth visitors will have the opportunity to get advice on the tires and wheels best-suited to their preferences.
Yokohama said it plans to introduce at the show its high-grade A.V.S. wheel series and sporty Advan Racing series, spotlighting new models and sizes scheduled for sale in 2014.
The Tokyo Auto Salon has been held every year since 1983. This year's event featured an all-time high 450 exhibiting companies and drew more than 280,000 visitors, according to Yokohama.
