INGOLSTADT, Germany—German car maker Audi A.G. will equip its A7 Sportback with 18- and 19-inch versions of the Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season for versions sold in North American market, according to Pirelli Tire North America Inc.
The A7 Sportback is a five-passenger, four-door hatchback coupe fitted with a choice of six V6 engines—two gasoline and four turbo-diesel units—and featuring Audi's quattro all-wheel drive.
Pirelli said the Cinturato P7 All Season has been approved for the Audi A7 in two sizes: 255/45R18 99H and 255/40R19 100 XL. The tires on the Audi carry an “AO” marking the sidewall, indicating they have been developed to suit the specific characteristics of the car manufacturer.
Both tires offer balanced performance, the tire maker said, but the 19-inch version is slightly biased toward handling.
Pirelli designed the Cinturato P7 All Season specifically for the North America market. It launched the tire in October 2012 as an aftermarket tire offering longer tread life, lower rolling resistance and less noise than leading competitors' tires in the class.
