CYPRESS, Calif.—Nitto Tire U.S.A. Inc. has hit 5 million Facebook fans, up from 3 million just eight months ago.
"We are truly delighted by this accomplishment in our social media efforts," said Nitto Tire President Keiko Brockel.
"More than ever, we are driven to live up to our tagline 'Fueled by Enthusiasts,'" she said. "Upholding the commitment we've made to our fans, we will continue to deliver innovative products that they demand, and provide them the opportunity to become a part of the community that drives many of our actions."
Nitto attributed its success in this area to unique engagement strategies, such as the "Nitto Ambassador Program," where fans are empowered to speak on behalf of the brand; a live multi-player mobile drag racing game, "Racing Rivals"; and a proprietary automotive interest blog, DrivingLine.com.
