PARSIPPANY, N.J.—Evonik Goldschmidt Corp. will merge into its parent company Evonik Corp., effective Jan. 1.
Evonik Goldschmidt no longer will be considered a separate legal entity following the merger.
Reinhold Brand, Evonik Goldschmidt president and senior vice president and general manager of Evonik's Consumer Specialties North American Business Unit, said the move will support the company's high-quality products and its commitment to providing customers with superior and sustainable solutions, as well as advancing its global image.
Evonik Goldschmidt's products are used to make consumer products such as fabric softener, car care products, shampoo, hair conditioner and toothpaste, as well as industrial chemical products for the agricultural, metal working, labeling and oil and gas industries.
Evonik Corp., active in more than 100 countries, is a specialty chemicals company that creates ingredients for products ranging from rubber to coatings, adhesives, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and animal feed additives.
