WASHINGTON—The Center for the Polyurethanes Industry of the American Chemistry Council is accepting papers and posters for its 2014 Polyurethanes Technical Conference, to be held Sept. 22-24, 2014, at the Gaylord Texan in Dallas, Texas.
The conference for manufacturers and processors of polyurethane-based products as well as producers and suppliers of downstream and end use polyurethane products in North America will address the latest technology with its paper and poster program.
Paper abstracts are due Feb. 3, 2014. Submission instructions and guidelines for development of papers and posters can be found on CPI's website.
Poster abstracts are due Aug. 22.
Papers can address innovations and developments involving polyurethane chemistry or uses, including new polyurethane products or applications; raw material or additive innovations; or breakthroughs in equipment design or operation.
Papers and posters also may focus on issues associated with the manufacture, use, handling, transportation, disposal and end-of-life of polyurethanes, as well as health, environmental and product stewardship issues. Regulatory and legislative topics, code and standard developments also are considered paper and poster topics.
Criteria for paper and poster abstracts include originality and relevance of the topic. A panel of technical and industry experts will judge paper and poster abstracts. Papers will be judged on technical merit and the quality and effectiveness of the speaker, and clarity of the presentation. Awards will be presented at the conference to recognize papers and posters in relevant categories, as chosen by conference attendees.
