FAIRLAWN, Ohio—Farm equipment maker AGCO North America has named Trelleborg Wheel Systems Americas Inc. its 2013 "Supplier of the Year" in the "Collaboration" category.
Trelleborg said it was awarded in a ceremony at AGCO's facility in Atlanta on Oct. 21.
Stefano Bettinelli, original equipment director worldwide agricultural and forestry tires at Trelleborg Wheel Systems S.p.A., called the award a "phenomenal feat and … a testament to the commitment that we share with AGCO—to improve the efficiency, productivity and sustainability of future farming."
Bettinelli noted that Trelleborg already had won AGCO's 2012 supplier of the year for the Europe, Africa, Middle East.
He said the company has made "considerable strides to support joint-initiatives with AGCO" over the years, which demonstrates Trelleborg's "long-term commitment to meeting the evolving wants and needs of farming professionals in a bid to foster the development of the agricultural industry.
"So to be recognized so enthusiastically among such strong competition, is a fantastic achievement and one we are extremely proud of."
