TOKYO—Denki Kagaku Kogyo K.K. said increases in energy and raw materials costs has prompted it to raise prices for chloroprene rubber sold outside Japan.
The firm said it will boost prices by at least $300 per metric ton.
Denka, as the synthetic rubber producer is known, said it can't absorb the cost increases itself, and decided to share the expense with customers. The increases take effect Nov. 1
