SAN ANTONIO, Texas—Jason Industrial Inc. is adding capacity at its expanded Charlotte, N.C., plant to boost its range of products.
It tripled the size of the Charlotte factory in 2012, company officials said while attending the NIBA—The Belting Association conference in San Antonio.
The facility has expanded to about 60,000 square feet from 20,000 square feet in a project that was completed in April 2012, according to Roy Pyle, vice president of business development for Jason Industrial, a member of the Megadyne S.p.A. group of companies. The facility makes open end urethane timing belts.
Jason Industrial is adding capacity to make endless belting at the plant, said Thomas Tesoro, vice president of sales and marketing. The belts are used by a variety of industries, he said, including motion control, conveyance and elevators.
The capacity expansion project is expected to be completed within the next few weeks.
