HOUSTON—The International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers and the China Synthetic Rubber Industry Association have agreed to a long-term relationship to exchange market information related to synthetic rubber.
Run Tong, secretary general and senior engineer with the CSRIA, and James L. McGraw, managing director and CEO of the IISRP, signed the agreement with members of both associations—Sinopec, PetroChina, TSRC and Shen Hua Chemical—on hand for the ceremony.
"This is a golden moment for both organizations," McGraw said. "We now have an IISRP liaison, thereby establishing our presence in China and CSRIA now has access to IISRP and our publications."
The IISRP's 50-plus corporate membership, based in more than 22 countries, represent 80 percent of the world's production of synthetic rubber.
