TORRANCE, Calif.—American Honda Motor Co. Inc. is recalling a total of 404,700 vehicles for air bag problems.
The vehicles, Honda Odyssey minivans from model year 2003-2004 and Acura MDX minivans from 2003, may suffer malfunctions of their Supplemental Restraint Systems because of electrical interference, Honda announced. Honda will install an electrical noise filter next to the SRS control units in these vehicles, free of charge.
A total of 318,000 Honda Odysseys and 56,000 Acura MDX vehicles will be recalled in the U.S., Honda said. The remainder of the recalled vehicles are in Canada, Japan and Australia.
