RAVENNA, Ohio—Portage Precision Polymers Inc., a North American custom rubber and silicone mixing company, hired Gary Leiendecker and Kylie Trumpower to its research and development department.
Leiendecker will join the company as an off-the-road and molded chemist. He brings more than 30 years of experience in chemical engineering and previously worked with a variety of molded products and polymers.
Portage President and CEO Doug Hartley said Leiendecker's background is a great complement to its business.
Trumpower joins Portage as a process engineer. A recent graduate of the University of Akron, she will assist with process improvement, design of experiment and raw materials research and development.
Portage's Technical Director George Stamper hopes their fresh perspectives to the research and development laboratory will help Portage add value for customers.
