LYON-CORBAS, France—Rubber injection moulding machine builder Rep International said it has concluded the acquisition of the patented HSM devulcanization technology on an exclusive rights basis, and it has acquired the devulcanization center Watson-Brown HSM-Berlin.
Watson-Brown runs an operational devulcanization line and a test laboratory staffed by six.
Bruno Tabar, CEO of the Rep Group, said REP International will continue to develop the HSM technology. Watson Brown HSM Berlin becomes the seventh subsidiary of the REP Group.
Rep said it decided to integrate Watson Brown HSM into its group after REP confirmed that Watson Brown HSM's process to devulcanize rubber production scraps and reintroduce them into the production chain was successful and economically efficient.
