SPRING, Texas—Bayer MaterialScience L.L.C., made two appointments to its spray insulation and roofing materials business unit.
The company named Robert Hook national sales manager and Steven Fries Southeastern regional technical account manager.
Hook will lead strategy and execution for sales of Bayer's spray polyurethane foam insulation and roofing systems. He will oversee residential building and commercial construction sales.
Hook previously worked in sales and business development at Whirlpool Corp. for more than 30 years.
Eric Denison, vice president of polyurethane systems for Bayer, said Hook is an experienced senior leader and has significant insight into how builders are constructing new homes.
Fries has 30 years of experience in construction, including 10 working for a general contractor as a field engineer and superintendent. He will support builders, architects and contractors on spray polyurethane foam insulation specification, field application, safety, compliance and performance issues. His territory includes Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi.
Hook said that the company is adding a wealth of knowledge to its team with the hiring of Fries. He added that Fries' experience at the leadership level will be a valuable asset to the company's building and design customers.
