KARACHI, Pakistan—BASF Polyurethanes GmbH has opened a technical development center at its polyurethane production site in Landhi, Karachi on Sept. 9, the company said in a statement.
The center, which includes technical service provision, will help the Pakistani home appliances, furniture, construction, footwear and transportation sectors, and it is designed to complement BASF's offerings, technical expertise and strategic collaborations in the region, the company said.
It will help suppliers meet "local technical specifications of original equipment manufacturer's for 4-& 2-Wheelers in the transportation segment, meeting high energy star rating in appliance, providing technical edge to key accounts in footwear and smart housing solutions for construction," said Hyoung Soon Moon, vice president Asia Pacific, performance materials, polyurethanes.
